At SITCo. we pride ourselves on giving the best training that is available. In order to do this we have a hand-picked team of highly-experienced and enthusiastic trainers.

Gavin McAuliffe

Gavin McAuliffe

Gavin has been an NZSIA Alpine examiner since 2000, and has a postgraduate diploma in Sports Management. Having worked in the US for several years, Gavin now works in Queenstown and is based there during winter and summer. Gavin represented NZSIA at Interski 2011.

 
Ben Clarbrough

Ben Clarbrough

Ben is our head Snowboard Trainer, and has been an SBINZ Snowboard examiner since 2000 and currently holds a seat on the Snowboard Technical Committee. After years of back-to-back winters in the US and Europe, he now works out of Queenstown in the winter and summer.

 
Colin Tanner

Colin Tanner

Colin has been an NZSIA Alpine examiner since 2000 and is also a BASI (British Association of Snowsport Instructors) trainer and examiner. Colin works out of Queenstown and Val d'Isere, France, and currently runs his own specialised ski school, TDC, in Val d’Isere.

 
Todd Quirk

Todd Quirk

Todd has been an NZSIA Alpine examiner since 2001. Originally based in the North Island of New Zealand, Todd has done many years in the US, working in Colorado, California and Utah. He is now based in Queenstown during winter and summer.

 
Natalie Dilley

Natalie Dilley

Natalie has been an NZSIA Alpine examiner since 2000. After many years of working in Canada & US, she is now based in Queenstown during the winter and summer.

 
Daniel Mee

Daniel Mee

Daniel has been a ski instructor since 1992 and is a fully qualified NZSIA instructor. A trainer and supervisor for ski schools in New Zealand and Japan, Daniel works in both Queenstown and Hakuba, and is fluent in Japanese.

 

 

All our trainers work with the NZ Snow Academy, part of the Coronet Peak and The Remarkables Snowsports School.

Train for your NZSIA/SBINZ Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications.

10 week courses are ideal for those who want to come to New Zealand, and have a life changing ski or snowboard experience, while at the same time improving your skiing/riding and gaining internationally recognised qualifications.

8 week snowboard instructor training course

Train for your NZSIA Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications.

8 week courses are ideal for those who want to come to New Zealand, and don't have the time to take part in the 10 week course. Training for the same NZSIA internationally recognised qualifications. You will be straight in to the deep end!

5 week intensive ski instructor training course

5 week intensive snowboard instructor training course

Train for your NZSIA Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications.

5 week intensive courses train you for the same internationally recognised NZSIA qualifications. This course is ideal for people who have a good level of skiing/riding and are short of time. This course will be intensive and a higher level of skiing is required to take part.
